The Incredible Moment a Hero Mum Wrestles a Black Marlin Back out to Ocean After it Beached Itself

A mother came to the rescue of swimmers at a popular Perth beach after a large creature was seen swimming in the shallows of the water.

Unnalise Radley was at

having a relaxing day when the crowd got into a commotion over what they believed to be a shark.

Ms Radley had already noticed the fish which was feeding in the shallows before it beached itself.

Bystanders (pictured) first thought the sea creature was a shark but upon closer inspection they realised it was a fish

Ms Radley was waiting to see if anyone would rescue the fish but when no one did she ran up to it and wrestled it with two others

‘At first we all thought it was a shark but as it got closer we noticed it was a bill fish,’ Ms Radley told Daily Mail Australia.

‘When it beached itself I knew it needed help and I was waiting to see if someone would jump in to help it.

‘At the time I was filming the fish, but when no one was going forward to help the fish, I threw my phone up on the beach and went for the its bill to help get it back in the water.’

Ms Radley wrestled with the black marlin but it slipped from her hands.

After a second attempt, she was able to successfully grab the black marlin before two bystanders grabbed the tail, assisting her to move the fish back into the water.

Other bystanders caught Ms Radley’s heroic mission on camera.

However, Ms Radley didn’t notice her hands were all cut up after rescuing the sea creature and the pain only kicked in after she had rescued it.
