Demonstration and protests were held in Sydney by Rohingya community in light of Aung San Suu Kyi’s visit

The Burmese Rohingya Community in Australia organised a demonstration in Sydney’s Hyde Park, in light of Aung San Suu Kyi’s visit to Australia for the ASEAN Summit. The rally was held to raise voices to have Aung San Suu Kyi tried for the genocide of the innocent Rohingyas in Myanmar, remaining of whom are now rendered homeless. Various community members and faith leaders joined the Australian Rohingyas in solidarity.

The Burmese Rohingya Community in Australia also condemned Australia’s ongoing military cooperation with Myanmar despite the world’s outcry and accusations that the same military are responsible for the genocide of Muslims in Myanmar.
