“One’s come from the side with a knife to stab my partner in the head or the neck and our friend who has been stabbed rugby tackled him down the hill and he’s just kept stabbing him, kept stabbing at him, he’s got five stab wounds,” a witness told 9NEWS.

The teenagers were chased to a nearby street before witnesses intervened.

Two of the attackers were taken to hospital, where one remains in a stable condition and the other is being questioned by the police.

The victim, who is 17-years-old, is in a serious but stable condition.

The attackers claimed they were part of a local teenage gang that call themselves the 6169 crew.

“They were threatening saying ‘6169 we’re coming for your family, we’re going to slice their jugulars’, chasing these young boys,” the witness said.
