A former junior rugby league coach is facing historic child sex abuse charges against teenage boys after a police investigation.
Police allege that between April and June in 1993, the man sexually assaulted a boy who was 13 years old at the time of the first incident.
It is further alleged in June 1994 the man indecently assaulted another boy who was 14 years old.
Both these alleged incidents occurred at the man’s home in Coolbellup while he was the boys’ rugby league coach.
The accused man played and coached rugby league between 1980 and mid-1990s at clubs in Perth’s southern and western suburbs.
It will also be alleged that between December 2003 and February 2004, the man sexually assaulted a boy who was 14 at the time of the first incident.
The offences occurred at the man’s home in Armadale.
The 51-year-old man has been charged with two counts of sexually penetrating a child aged 13-16, one of indecently dealing with a child aged 13-16 and sexual penetration without consent.
He is due to appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court on Tuesday, March 6.
