Job Figures Show WA’s Economy is ‘Turning for the Better’, Deputy Premier Says

Western Australia’s deputy premier says the latest job figures show the state’s economy is “turning in the right direction”.

Figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics on Thursday reveal WA’s seasonally adjusted unemployment rate improved from 6.6 to 5.7 per cent in December, compared to the national rate of 5.5 per cent.

WA had the second largest increase in the nation, up 6100 people.
