A man with a gunshot wound has been dumped outside a hospital emergency department in Melbourne’s south-east on Saturday.
The injured man was driven to the Monash Medical Centre in Clayton just after 4pm.
Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said paramedics were called to the hospital but were then called off.
The man was taken in by emergency department staff.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Belinda Batty said the man was left outside the hospital in Clayton Road.
“The man was dropped off there in a van which then drove away just after 4pm,” she said.
“The yet to be identified man is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
